Ballwin man receives NEA volunteer award

A belated "attaboy" for Brock Ayers of Ballwin, who was named volunteer of the year by the the Council of Advancement and Support of Education.

Ayers, a 1982 Westminster College grad Class of '82, from Ballwin, was honored in December for his work within the council's eight-state district that includes Missouri.

Ayers is a retired Army intelligence officer and former member of the National Security Council and White House situation room staff. He now is a vice president with Wells Fargo Advisors in STL.

Ayers is well known for his work at Westminster, and has twice won that school's alumni award and has served, or is serving, on the trustees board, the alumni council, the Delta Tau Delta House corporation, the President's Club and the National Churchill Museum.
