Marlene's Restaurant & Crane's Museum

Voted 3rd best in off-beat attractions, this 4,000 square-foot museum is a one-of-a-kind viewing experience. Unique exhibits line the walls, including a recreated White Eagle gas station, a 4-room display featuring a Victorian theme, and 2 original land grants dating as far back as 1822 with actual presidential signatures. A favorite at the museum is a perfect horse and buggy.

The Missouri Firefighters Memorial at Kingdom City is located adjacent to the Heart of Missouri Tourism Center. The outdoor memorial is open year round.

Katy Trail

The Katy Trail features over 200 miles of level trails for the outdoor enthusiast. Over half of it follows Lewis and Clark's path up the Missouri River. Take time to enjoy the scenery and wildlife along this historic former railroad bed. Several towns along the way offer food, shopping, and a place to rest your head.

Little Dixie Lake

In addition to bass, this 200-acre lake is stocked with strong populations of bluegill and blue catfish and an abundant supply of small crappie. Rounding out the Little Dixie experience are numerous multi-use nature trails and designated areas for hunting deer, quail, turkey, waterfowl, and various other small animals.

Mark Twain Forest

The Ozark-like countryside of western Callaway County is the backdrop for the Cedar Creek hiking trail and a unique recreational experience. The trail is formed by three loops, crossing 36 miles of scenic country. Hikers are drawn to a natural wildlife habitat and panoramic views of the Cedar Creek from hilltop bluffs. Two-thirds of the trail is cross-country; the rest is along gravel roads. The Cedar Creek trail is part of the vast Mark Twain National Forest and one of the largest areas of public land north of the Missouri River.

Railwood Golf Club

The natural rolling terrain of southern Callaway County with its dramatic views and aesthetic beauty have been preserved in this 6,664 yard, 18-hole, public golf course overlooking the Missouri River valley just south of Holts Summit. Call for tee times.

Shryocks Callaway Farms

Make plans to come out to the farm and enjoy a life-size corn maze, group hayrides, roaring campfires, pick-your-own pumpkin patch, and the famous gumball coaster! It's all part of the experience at Shryocks Callaway Farms, conveniently located along Interstate 70 west of Kingdom City. Thousands of visitors enjoy the adventure of themed mazes like the 2007 "World Champs Corn Maze," a 15-acre labyrinth commemorating the St. Louis Cardinals' world championship. Stinson Creek Trail

Over 4.4 miles of paved trail follows the Stinson Creek as it winds through the streets and wooded areas of the city and is easily accessible by more than a dozen access points. Pause under the bluffs of Lover's Leap and pass over unique landmarks such as the scenic covered bridge near Business 54 and the most recent addition, a 129 year-old, iron railroad bridge near Brookside Drive. The trail is an ongoing project that was started in 2000, with the goal of a continuous trail loop through the city.

Tanglewood Public Golf Course

Tanglewood Golf Course opened in 1997. It is an 18-hole, regulation course with over 6,883 yards with a par of 72. The course rating is 73.4. The slope rating is 134.
